La Casa’s VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program offers free federal and state income tax preparation and filing services for low- to moderate-income individuals and families. The program places a strong emphasis on identifying and assisting those eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, which can result in significant refunds. Designed to meet the needs of the Hispanic/Latino community, VITA services are bilingual and culturally responsive. This program is made possible through the support of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County and the Internal Revenue Service.
