Laser

Laser hair removal works by targeting melanin in the hair, generating heat that damages the follicle to slow regrowth. It is best suited for individuals with light skin and dark hair, and is not effective for those with blonde, red, gray, or white hair, or for individuals with darker or tanned skin. It's important to note that laser offers hair reduction, not permanent hair removal, with results varying widely: some see slower regrowth, while others may experience no change or even increased hair growth (a condition called paradoxical hypertrichosis). Laser is not recommended for eyebrow areas and can cause discomfort, irritation, or side effects such as redness, swelling, pigmentation changes, acne, and in rare cases, infection or scarring. Always consult trusted sources like AIE and the FDA for facts on laser treatment outcomes and risks.
